Texture Garden, Belchertown, MA. 2005

Notice the simplicity of this project, but how varied the textures are within the space.  The walkway and patio consist of ‘Hera’ concrete pavers and the color is Sandlewood.  The rough surface of the river stone highlights the smooth consistency of the pavers.  The boulder bank acts to help retain the hillside, but also bring the space into scale next to the grandeur of the home.  In addition, we created planting pockets within the boulders to help bring softness to the space.
